The 2009 World Champs XCO course involves climbing and descending the eastern face of Mt Stromlo, Canberra. The venue was unveiled last year when the first World Cup held in Australia in over a decade descended on Stromlo Forest Park. Over 10,000 spectators watched that event so expect an even greater turn-out this year as fans from around the World come to cheer on the XCO Elite.

Kalentieva was absolutely ridiculous. I was rooting for Byberg to win but on that last lap I don't think there was anything she could do to hold off Kalentieva.

Congratulations to all the North American women! That was some show that Kalentieva put on....and Willow really put it all together today. She smoked the climbs and rode the rocks on that Superfly like a trials rider. To beat the Olympic champion Spitz is no small feat. This puts an incredible exclamation point on the Gary Fisher Team season.

How do I keep the broadcast from stopping every 5 minutes? Thanks.
There's nothing you can do about it. It's trouble with the freecaster transmission out of Australia. Try keeping two windows open so you have one ready to go if the other stops. It's a good chance to take a look at the live timing http://www.uci.ch/templates/BUILTIN-NOFRAMES/Template3/layout.asp?MenuId=MTU3NjQ&LangId=1

Does anyone else's Freecaster stream stall out every few minutes?
They all do it. Internet connection is not flawless. It's much better here on Cyclingdirt then anywhere else. Try keeping a second window open so you can press play on that one right away if it pauses...
