It was a special year for the Iron Cross Race: their 10th Anniersary. All the classic features of Iron Cross gave the 2012 participants one hell of a day, and the forcast of rain had everyone on edge. But the precipitation held off, and we got to some some awesome racing on an absolutely gorgeous fall day. The leaves were changing, the air was crisp, and the racers were suffering like dogs! A big congrats to Mens winner Adam Farabaugh, Womens winner Cheryl Sornson (yes, THE Cheryl Sornson), Masters winner (and 2nd overall) Garth Prosser, and Single Speed winner Austin Horse. With brutal run-ups, natural sand pits, and not 1 2 or 3, but 4-count em- four different types of surfaces, the 2012 American Ultra Cross Championship Series is concluded.
