This was one for the history books... almost. Like she did one week ago in Mount Saint-Anne, USA's Georgia Gould took off on the first lap and looked poised for her first career World Cup win. And, like one week ago, her Canadian teammate Catharine Pendrel was there to take it from her on the final lap. Luna riders Katerina Nash and Catharine Pendrel worked well together all afternoon while Gould held strong in the lead with 30 seconds. A flat tire forced Gould of the bike to run in the closing meters and she lost the win. Pendrel claimed her 10th World Cup victory before the crowd could end their chants, "USA! USA!". Lea Davison of the US had her best career World Cup on the day with 5th place. She and Gould will face off next weekend in Sun Valley, Idaho at the USA National Championships.
