I have to say, I'm with the others that are concerned about the spectators point of view...that is part of what makes this sport so great. I know that the folks in Madison know what they are doing though and I would hold off the hatin' because as someone else eluded, the weather in Madison on race day could be all the technical you want.

Tire Pit!? WTF???

It is roughly the course mapped out at USA Cycling's registration page. That said, the rider in the video really swept through most corners and this course is going to be hard and FAST. With an actual course laid out it will certainly be more technical as well. The course does pass the start/finish/pit area three times so it'll be pretty good for spectators. Just imagine what a good course setter will do with the space you see there... these course previews are always boring. Too bad people get so negative before seeing how it actually comes out.

This CAN'T be the actual course. The park offers MUCH more than is shown here. Where did this come from?

Really? I mean, REALLY? You expect me to drive 14 hours each way to do a 45 minute race on that course? If this is really what they have planned, I will be reconsidering making the trip. Not worth it by a long shot.

I'll second the "Can someone who is actually involved in CXNats comment on the course?" I can vouch for the course being steeper then it looks, but this guy pretty much just went and rode all of the badger prairie trail network. How does this person know that this is the Nat's course?

THis is sad, and i hope it changes.

Can someone who is actually involved in CXNats comment on the course? It looks super lame. I know helmet cam can really make a course look pretty flat, but this video makes it look like there are too many long straights, nothing technical, not fun, and horrible to spectate. Where are the stairs, steeps, tight turns, ditches, off cambers, double-backs, flyovers, anything crazy?

i'm thinking it will be much more interesting if it's covered in snow and ice...

Doesn't look like there will be a great vantage point to watch the race from. That's too bad. Maybe they can host the race on the JIngle Cross cross some year. Tires should stay... nature made them right?

one word...boring
