I don't know about any of that. I just felt like I should share that since it had come up a couple times.

When people watch you talk for three minutes just to trash you, you're doing something right. Keep up the good work, Adam. We need more guys like you.

Glad to hear that Dylan. You deserved it!

We all get a bit emotional/heated right after a race. Just didn't like him bagging on other events and then coming off like this in the video.

I'd just like to point out that immediately after crossing the line Adam DID roll over and give me congratulations.

Love how he trashes a C1 race, that he wasn't at, as having a weak field and then stuffs it up at this race. He wouldn't have broken the top 10 at the Jingle Cross races. (Maybe Friday when it was warm and dry, but I bet the other two days would have had him crying like a baby... again).

It's good to have passion, but don't hate on other races and then whine when you do something stupid and boneheaded. 4th is great, congratulate the winner for handing it to you and then move on.

I must admit I was surprised to see Adam practicing bunny-hopping the barriers with Jerome Townsend (former mtb racer) before the race. Adam led up the first set of stairs on lap one and looked as good as I have seen him in a long time. He is right that at his age there are precious few of these chances left. I feel his pain but predict he will be just as passionate about masters racing as he is now.

Best video interview thus far this year. Isn't this how a professional athlete should feel?

I love this video. It's rare we get to see a pro athlete pull off the macho mask and remind the world that everyone fails. Even the best. I'm not sure why anyone would call this egotistical. Adam's humbled and geniune here.

I've known Adam since he was a junior and he cares about cycling just as much now at 40 as he did when he was 17. It shows in his racing, his coaching and everything else he does for the sport. My junior team watched this video and they all wore expressions of understanding and relief that even the seasoned Godfather of New England cross feels the same way they have felt so many times. Great vid. Great cyclist.

One thing about racing is you need to have a short memory...regardless if it was a good or bad race...I like this dude...hope he puts it all together in a race

I thought this was a joke at first and was waiting for TP to ask him if he wanted a hug like he asked CR in that hilarious interview, but then I realized it was real...and then he asked him if he wanted a hug anyway. awesome.

Adam's a because he's opinionated and opinionated because he cares and loves cycling so much. Maybe he cares too much but I would rather have someone who cares than apathy.

Cyclocross wouldn't be where it is without him.

What really amazes me is that people who do not appear to appreciate Adam are taking time to first watch then criticize him when the camera caught him wearing his heart on his sleeve. Adam loves cycling and is a driving force in Cyclocross. He is opinionated and not afraid to speak his mind, in a world where "everyone is winners" and little league teams don't keep score he knows what it means to win and the pain you feel when you lose. I have never found Adam to egotistical, passionate, oh yeah. Maybe its because I am in my 40s and Adam is 40, or at least his racing age is 40, but when you are having a good day it is special. Pups wait for father time the good days don't come around as often and the older you get the harder it becomes to recover from one little mistake, not to mention the mental toll it takes. I too was once a fan of Tyler Hamilton, until his lies and denials showed the real Tyler.

We've all felt like that to some degree, and we invest a whole lot less time and emotion into the sport. The only difference is that no one puts a camera on the rest of us after our failures.

Love this. Adam's appeal has always been that he gives his heart and soul to cycling more than almost anyone. His fans now love him more and his haters hate him more but both are still going to tune in to hear whatl he has to say next week.

Embarrassed? Pathetic? Ego-centric? C'mon, this video is none of that. Its simply a humbled and dissapointed athlete. He wasnt belittling anyone, nor making excuses. I thought it was very real and so cool to see a male athlete be so emotional. Keep on Keepin' on Myerson!

Haters always be haiting. Too bad it's the .3% DB's that always feel the need to comment.

Tyler Hamilton 6 months ago

What a dramatic, pathetic little girl. Proof of why he has gotten his ass physically kicked several times. It's all about Adam and his tiny little world. He preaches about all the people our sport could do without, but cycling could do without self-centered egomaniacs like him. You crashed like an idiot, congratulate the guy who wasn't an idiot, internalize it, improve and win or punch out. But seriously, shut up with this dribble! Retire already! (Retire your twitter account while you're at it!)

Horse with no name 6 months ago

I don't know, man. I'd be quite embarrassed for anyone outside of this little circle to see that last video. Hell, I'm just wanting to slap him on the cheek and say WAKE UP, AHM!

While this is "your experience" have some scope and scale to life, because you better appreciate this journey. F'ing up should feel as rich as beating out these guys you're dying to bump elbows with.
Your destination will always fail you if you keep this up. Heck, I think you didn't align yourself with the result to begin with, which is why you keep crashing yourself out or whatever it is that is "plaguing" your results.
