On a course that had riders either climbing or descending for 5 laps it was Jeremiah Bishop and Raphael Gagne who animated the front of the race. After several attacks from both riders Todd Wells found himself in trouble after a move by Bishop. Wells struggled, but managed to hold a chasing Sam Schultz for 3rd. Bishop and Gange attacked each other on the climbs, but it was Bishop who had the last word and solo'd in for the win.
