Join us in a sit-down interview with the legendary Ned Overend at his home in Durango. Colorado.

OK, so this is obviously not an interview by Cyclingdirt. In fact, I'm pretty sure I was still racing the exhibition kids races when this was first filmed. It does however bring me to this very important point: Cyclingdirt is a blank canvas! As a user here on Cyclingdirt, you have an uncanny ability to promote and cover the sport you love. From blog posts, to adding photos/videos, adding results and upcoming races to the schedule, even creating full blown coverage pages and covering your own races. Aside from the headlines on the front page, every feature I have available to run this site is available to you, the user. We'll be doing our part to cover as many races as we can this year, but the truth is, for every race we're at there are 20 that we'll miss. That's where you can step up. How many people do you see at races walking around taking pictures and video only to go home and never see a single shot? Don't be that guy. Use Cyclingdit as a way to promote, and more importantly, cover your own races. Add a photo gallery, or post your race report to the blog section. If you feel up to it, create a coverage page and give any race the best coverage they have ever seen. If your stuff is good, we'll make sure it's visible for everyone to see. A lot of you enjoyed the coverage from the first US Pro XCT last weekend. Well, it's not magic. It's me and my camera. The truth is, you don't need a licence to be a journalist for a weekend and you don't need a $5,000 camera to take kick ass photos. You just need a desire to see our sport grow. I think shining a little light on some of the best events around the country is a good start. For example, The Rockburn Reloaded in Elkridge, MD. Not going to any races? Don't have a digital camera? Not even a cell phone camera? No worries. You can still contribute. Add a blog about your latest ride or tell us about the new wheel set you are madly in love with. Do you know how many thousands of great Mountain Bike videos are out there on the web? A lot. Trouble is, When I search youtube for race footage from the Eastern Fat Tire Association, 9 out of 10 videos are of obese people living on the East Coast, or Fat Motorcycle Tires. So if you know of, or come across good video out there, add it to Cyclingdirt and make it easier for the rest of us. It's simple. (really, it's pathetic how simple it is. You could add 20 videos in 5 minutes) Such as this blast from the past with Ned. Take a few minutes to look around, sign in, and see what the site is all about. We're making changes and adding new features almost daily. There is endless potential to better cover this sport. If not, then enjoy the content from the rest of us. I hope this doesn't sound like some ploy to get you to the site. As you'll see, we're not HowManyAddsCanWeSellNews.com. One visitor or one thousand, you all get the same coverage. We're doing this because we're sick of Mountain Biking coming second to Lance's new hair cut. We think that we can do a better job covering our sport ourselves than those who currently drive the ship. If you want to be a part of it, then welcome aboard. Let us know what we can do for you, we're always open to suggestions and we're always here to help get you started.

you people at cyclingdirt need to give credit to the REAL authors

1. Did you happen to read the first line, "OK, so this is obviously not an interview by Cyclingdirt."....
2. I am the only "people" here.
3. Posting under fake names is lame.
