Actually Bri-boy. I am not trying to call you out. I AM calling you out. You are a classless fool. And talk about super blogger? Go be classless bro. Just don't involve anybody else and throw beer on them. You are correct about one thing...I am a francophobe. But I feel that is truely better than being a low life dirt bag who gets his kicks out of tossing beers(or praising the fact that somebody you know did) on guys who are out there making a living racing bikes. And how did you know my mom picks up trash? A smart low life Tool. hmmm. Keep it real Brian. Or shoudl I say, keep it classless.

All, there is a way more serious issue you are all missing here. Sure young Brian's act was uncalled for, but what Beer did he spray Ryan with? If it was a cheap Beer like PBR, Old Milwaulkee or Stro's and Trebon's career could be at stake!!

In light of Contador's positive, the poor quality water used in cheap beers could contain pharmaceuticals or other trace elements leading to Treebone failing a doping test!

So while bonehead Brian's teenage prank may seem harmless, he could have ruined Ryan's career.

Brian,

It is unfortunate that you seem incapable of entertaining the idea that your actions may have been inappropriate regardless of how many spectators engaged in the same activity. Instead, you seem proud of your actions and resort to attacking anyone who is displeased by them. Arguably, humility may have been the more diplomatic approach...

listen up francophobe (ED) I am suprised you are friends with tools as you strike me as someone that knows a lot about cyclecross racing and have strong opinions about many of the racers and their tactical motivations. You must really be involved in the cycling industry. That was a great play by play analysis. were you there? You have great insight into what other riders need to do and the strict moral code they adhere too. Are you a professional blogger? no, they don't have the intimacy to the sport you seem to posses. You must be a racer. Did you race Crossvegas? Congrats! How did you do? You know whats more likely? You put on you your cousin's speed suit and ride a few laps around your local soccer field once a week in minnesota or wisconsin. Probably you take your bike to get serviced at the local shop right before and oh oh, you have to load up on some hammer nutrition too. Maybe even you get to yell at some lady for crossing the unmarked course almost hitting her child in the process. "this is a race! Get out of the way!" you yell, "I am super serious!!" or maybe you know someone that has been a mechanic or a friend of a friend races and that entitles you to have an opinion. But all said and done. GET A LIFE! You are trying to call me out? read the other comments. I was on the back stretch and the person Trebon was complaining about was by the hurdles. so back off and easy on the opinions. Also, watch your video again mr. professional blogger. Craig said your quote about the office, not Trebon. and who are you to judge Mourey? Do you live vicariously through people all the time or is it just a part time hobby. Why don't you try to loose 20 pounds and actually ride your bike instead of getting caught up in the hype and politics. and I am not nor ever will be your friend.

Spraying someone who's OTB and is not in contention for the win is one thing, trowing a full cup of beer straight into Trebon's (or anyone) eyes at point blank range is a lame move, and if it were me, I'd also be super pissed! I actually know someone who was standing right next to the lame a** who pulled that move, and after telling him how lame he was, the "guy" responded, "haven't you ever been to a 'cross race", that's what you do"!

My friend has been a mechanic at worlds twice, and you just don't do that unless your at a DFL race in S.F. and your "victim" is expecting it, and even then you don't throw a full cup directly into someones eyes while their running the barriers!

Get a clue dufus!

Brian, You, my friend, are a tool. As Trebon said, "let me(Trebon) come to your work(prolly picking up trash) and throw a full beer in your face". You are a coward, and it is unfort. that vegas is filled with low lifes, or else somebody would have put you(or whomever actually was the culprit) in your place. That was a classless act, by a classless person. Way to be...and the fact that you are proud to have thrown the beer? Says a lot about youself. Keep it classy dude.

geoff nailed it on the head with his post. Agree 100%. Leave the full glasses of beer for Jonathan Page ;)

geoff 2 years ago

He wasnt sprayed by someone. Someone threw a whole glass of beer directly in his face on the run up with the stairs.

I bet many of the racers you actually enjoyed you spraying weren't racing at the front. In my opinion you can say or yell whatever you want at the racers but when it comes to physically contacting them with any part of your body or any object be it liquid or not is completely out of line. Yes you can have fun at the races but you have to realize that this is their job and they take it seriously and do not need other people not in the race interfering with the out come.

brian 2 years ago

It was probably me or one of my friends that threw beer in his face. Coward? I was standing on the back stretch spraying everyone. Its a cross race in Vegas, beers are going to be sprayed. Trebon needs to lighten up as do ed and dan. Don't take life so seriously. Many of the racers were stoked to get sprayed and some even took our beer feeds.

Negative racing blows! Chapeau to Driscoll for having the guts to attack and go for it. Tree farm digs deep to pull back Driscoll, and when he pulls off to get some help, not one person gives a hand(Tim Johnson did give a couple of decent efforts). Ryan would get so sick of pulling 15-20 guys, that he would eventually sit up and then the gap would increase until he chased again. And the lil stinky frenchman not taking one pull to chase, and then coming around to nip Driscoll at the end. WEAK. I mean, he won, and ultimately that is the game. But he shouldn't feel good about his efforts...or lack there of. Then you have bitter John Page saying that he has all the respect in the world for the frenchie. Of course he does. Desn't he have a bunch of races in europe to attend. Go finish 25th there dude, and say that you are the best US crosser. Not so much! And the beer in Ryan's face? Bush league. If there were some hardy fans in the house, they would have taken care of that coward, and Trebon would have won. Unless of course the lil frenchie goated his wheel as well.
Great coverage. Thanks for bringing it to us with such enthusiasm. Well done.

Whoever threw bear on Ryan should have been leveled by bystanders. I agree, both class acts.

Ryan is my hero....so is Adam. Both class acts.
