Wow, don't think anybody saw Jamey Driscoll winning Jingle Cross!

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

well, still #winless. Couldn't beat Jones or Driscoll. Come on Tim!!

This is the weekend! Winless Timmy no more!! Johnson VS Wells at Jingle Cross!

Canadian fan. 1 year ago

Glad to see Garrigan finally getting a bump up. I know there are a lot of canadian fans. His sponsor is incorrect, also he should have holeshot king beside his name. Gloucester was impressive.

Remember that Hamblen is a stay-at-home dad with 2 kids, and does ALL his riding indoors, on the trainer. His ONLY outdoor rides are when he's racing. The fact that he's leading the NCCX is amazing, and to ride from the back of the UCI field into the top 10 both days on fast, drafting-oriented courses was huge. The only other UCI event he'll probably be able to make at this point of the season is Kingsport, TN. If he lived in NE, you'd see him in the front group there, and with a bucket of UCI points by now.

@Ned,

I'm sold. Jonathan Hamblen now on the list. #44. But I agree that if he doesn't do any more racing outside of NC he's dropped. It's the same reason we don't have Alex Grant and Jason Sager on here who kill it every weekend in Utah. They race a full season but only in Utah and never against any national level riders and don't travel themselves. Too hard to compare but in this case Hamblen deserves props! Wish he'd come back to New England a bit more..

smkfc...you gotta follow the w#1? rules here. 50% is "what you did last week" and 5% is us complaining about him not being here...which for Jon last week was beating a bunch of Mo' fo's on this list starting 4 rows behind them...true he should not stay on week in and week out unless he goes and defends his spot at more UCI races, but he has held serve when guys come to NC that are on the list. 20% is a guess at the next few weeks, so now with points he will do well in Kingsport UCI. So, the week after NCGP he should be on the list...then maybe gone if he does not race enough...kinda like the same reason JHK needs to be dropped off now, he was deserving at the time he got on the list, now he is just taking up space.

Amy is a German Shorthair Pointer. Tons of pictures on his Facebook.

What kind of dog is Amy!? CUTIE!

Jon Hamblen never races outside of North Carolina now. He could definitely be top 60 but after this week, how do you compare him to all the others when he never races against any other ranked riders? Same is true only more complicated for Thomas Turner. Guy could have probably been top 5 both days in NC but he sat up and finished 11th to avoid UCI points so he could race Masters Worlds. If he doesn't want to be "Elite" then he shouldn't be on the "elite" rankings.

How old is Dylan McNicholas? He doesn't look like he's young 20's but this is the first season I am hearing of him. Hope he gets to Bend! That would be awesome!

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

Molly didn't really move up.. i bunch of dudes just fell off or dropped below her this week. But Neiters... that was horrible!

ned 1 year ago

Great work! always look forward to seeing the show. Have to give you a bit of a hard time though. Molly got 7th in a race with 10 people and moved up? Jared Neiters goes to NC and gets 21st and stays on the list? Jon Hamblen starts last in NC and moves up to 7th day one and 10th day two and beats 6 or 7 dudes in the list, where the love? just not enough big racing I presume?

Solid ratings. Very funny about Ryan's cane. He is now hoping that Rebound Physical Therapy in Bend will get him healed. No doubt this is a major setback. Speaking of Bend, I am curious to see if the USGP there can match the intensity and crowds of Portland. We'll see.

Dylan McNicholas rides up to the level of his competition. If someone sponsors him to come to Bend.....I personally guarantee he pulls off a top ten on at least one of the days. He is not some tactical baby who sits on wheels....he is a "throw down" racer that will go off the front regardless of the competition.
Did you really name your dog after Amy Dombroski?
Drop Jon Page from the list because he has been successful enough to get a contract that allows him to compete year after year in the biggest races in the world? That is just about as insane as dropping Amy from the list for doing the same thing this year. We should be proud of them both.
Nine times out of ten I give the edge to Andrea Smith over Crystal Anthony. Both are solid....Andrea is just meaner on the bike.
How many national titles does Chloe Woodruff hold? You would be surprised at what this young woman has already quietly accomplished.
I would like to know if Chris Jones and Julie Krysniak hung around to get their tattoos. I heard a rumor that they bolted out of town before getting inked?

@Colavita Rich,

She's on our radar for sure, but 5th and 6th this past weekend at MAC wasn't quite worthy of Top 40 National Ranking.
@PDX Dave,
She started it!

What ?!!!!!!! tim did not beat Berden in USGP . Berden pull out Sat , and got fourth Sun. Tim got 6th . Berden won Boulder cup and NCCX . And beat him at Cinci. Don't get me wrong I like Tim , but Berden has won races .

Colavita Rich 1 year ago

Surprised you completely missed the Human Energizer Bunny, Stacey Barbossa, who is still ranked #1 after 5 races in MAC series with just 2 to go.

"winless Tim" did beat Berden in Louisville last weekend. Close, but I agree Tim has had a beter year so far, was better 2 weeks ago, and will probably be better this weekend.
