First it was Floyd, then Danielson, then Trent. Now, Sam Schultz, America's most promising young star on the dirt, announced today that effective June 1 he will join forces with Lance Armstrong, Levi Leipheimer, and the rest of the Astana Pro Cycling Team. This news comes on the heels of an impressive second place finish at the Pan American Championships last weekend, and a solid 4th this past weekend in Fontana, CA. Cyclingdirt sat down with Sam on April 1st for this exclusive interview.

Man that's the equivalant to coming out of the closet. For some reason I don't think he would fit into the up tight scene of road biking. Funny stuff.

Bummer for Mountain Biking, but I think Sam will really tear it up on the road.
