@ Page should be higher up arg
I never cease to be amazed at the "Page got the hole shot", "Page had multiple hole shots that season" arguments. While it's cool to lead the pack for a little while, it certainly isn't a concrete decider of the race's final outcome; Niels Albert and Bart Wellens have often had bad starts this year and ended up doing quite well. @KHH I don't think just shy of a podium in a non C1, Super Prestige, or World Cup race= Far better than a win in the US. One need only look at who won the race that Page finished fourth in to see that: Mourey had a successful early season here in the US but I wouldn't say he was "far better" than his US competition. Additionally you may want to take a look at who Page just beat to finish 4th and where they finished the next day: i.e., Wellens 5th then 4th the next day in the big race. If you look at past seasons Page often podiums or near podiums in some smaller races, but at least some of the time (and this time is likely a case of this judging by the podium make up with De Knegt and ZlámalÃk who haven't podium'd or been close in a top race this year) Page gives it his all when other riders are holding back for the more important later race. His hole shot tactic may also be an indication of this, he often comments on feeling empty or out of gas after x amount of minutes. Well maybe if he didn't start like a madman (he doesn't have a 1st row start so no doubt it's hard to get the hole shot) and worked his way up through races instead he would finish better. Finally, saying any C2 European race is "far better" than any US race plainly isn't true and is demeaning to the blossoming domestic scene. |

I can't believe page is only 3rd. FIrst off he did 3 races in 4 days so 19th in Hamme-Zogge was simply the best he could do. He was just shy of a podium which is far better than a win in the US. Almost finished 9th but bad luck came to page like it always seems to. In hamme zogge he got the hole shot. I think he should be number 1. 3 solid races in 4 days is impressive. |

jamey should be higher. 2nd and 4th both days ahead of trebon. if trebon was strong he wouldn't get 11th sunday no matter how bad a race he had. |

This week looks good. The mud in Ft. Collins definitely shook things up a bit but like you said this is what it's going to be like the rest of the season. My top 10 men would be: |

I'd take Sid Taberlay top 10 in ANY 'cross race in North America. He has been absolutely crushing the SoCal scene without even training for 'cross. I'd pay money to see him lign up at a USGP and get 'r done. |

What a weekend for Cal/ Giant! TSL busts her knee on Saturday and then Wells nearly breaks his leg Sunday! Easy to forget just how dangerous this sport is until you see this. Heal quick to all. |

So good to see Kabush move up on the list! He is obviously a mega star in MTB and it's great for 'cross to have him riding so well. I think we'll see him pushing Tim and Jeremy even more in Portland. |

Loving the rankings but you left Christine Vardaros off again - she was 14th at Jaarmarktcross, 12th at Koppenbergcross and 14th at Superprestige Zonhoven - I reckon she deserves a spot somewhere on the list. |
