Jeremy has had some unfinished business with the U.S. Cyclocross National Championships throughout his career. He's been as close as you can get without taking the win. Last year's heartbreaking ride in Bend, Oregon added particular fuel to Jeremy's fire when he and Behind THE Barriers headed to Madison, Wisconsin for the 2012 Cyclocross National Championships. For the first time, Nationals was in January, meaning that the temperatures were colder and the suspense was even greater. Jeremy does everything he can to make sure the week leading up to Nationals is as normal and stress free as possible. The day before the race, it's time for some motor pacing with teammate Chris Jones to get loose and open for Sunday. Once that's out of the way, it's back to the hotel to get everything ready for the big day. The following morning, it's off to the course where everyone gets ready to help Jeremy win the big one. Finally, it's time to go racing, and Jeremy rides a flawless race to take the first set of Stars and Stripes of his career. Everyone comes out to wish Jeremy well after the win, both at the race and when it's time to go out and celebrate with all of his friends, family and competitors. Sit back, relax and enjoy the first National Championship of Jeremy's career and the first National Championship on Behind THE Barriers!

Jeremy continues his stay in Bend, Oregon for the second day of the USGP Deschutes Brewery Cup where any result will crown him the overall champion for the second year in a row! Episode 14 of Behind THE Barriers' second season catches up with Jeremy as he tries to put a bad night's sleep - thanks to an unwelcome case of 'cross gut - behind him and concentrate on the task at hand. Jeremy's eager to put a slightly controversial finish behind him and stamp his authority on the 2011 USGP series. After opening up his legs, and working out any lingering stomach issues, it's off to the races. Jeremy succeeds in taking the win and sewing up the USGP series in style. Afterwards it's a fight to stay warm as the sun has set on the course and the USGP season, while he makes the usual round of interview stops. Once everything is quiet, it's back to the house to rest, relax, recover and get ready for the next round of racing. With Nationals just over the horizon, it's as good a time as any to be hitting a good run of form!

It's back to the racing scene for the final weekend of the US Grand Prix of Cyclocross - the Deschutes Brewery Cup. Jeremy is out to eradicate some of his demons from last season with a win at a course that has, historically, been his kryptonite. Jeremy rewrote the script and made amends with the course in Bend, Oregon with a narrow win over former teammate and good buddy Tim Johnson. After the race, it's off to the usual round of interviews, but this time, Jeremy flips the script on two of the sport's most well known voice - Dave Towle and Brad Sohner. CyclingDirt.org's Colt McElwaine is back to interview Jeremy, where we find out what magazine Jeremy has always aspired to grace the cover of. Finally, after what seems like hours of media appointments, Jeremy take it easy for the night. That is until a cyclocross racer's worst enemy decides to throw a kink into Jeremy's night - the dreaded cross gut!

The first-ever round of the Patrick UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup raced on the muddy slopes of the citadel in Namur (BEL) offered a great spectacle.

Belgian veteran Sven Nys (Landbouwkrediet) captured a hard-fought win over Belgian Champion Niels Albert (BKCP-Powerplus) in the Elite Men category. The 35 year-old is the new leader in the World Cup rankings. Dutch star Marianne Vos (Nederland Bloeit) dominated in the women's race, which was raced in snowy conditions. Her compatriot Daphny van den Brand (AA Drink -- Nederland Bloeit) remains overall leader in the World Cup standings.

French Champion Francis Mourey (FDJ), Aurélien Duval (France), Tom Meeusen (Telenet-Fidea) and Klaas Vantornout (Sunweb-Revor) led a large group through the first laps on the muddy course in chilly Namur. During the fourth of eight laps, Albert accelerated. Nys followed his example with an attack on the fifth lap. Only Vantornout remained on Nys' wheel. A little later Nys flatted and was caught by an unleashed Stybar. The Czech soon steamed through to neutralize Vantornout's advantage. For a brief moment there were six riders in the group, but Pauwels punctured and lost time. Nys seized his moment to take the lead and set the pace up front. Pauwels didn't bridge back up and in the last lap it seemed like Albert was heading for the win. Nevertheless Nys closed the small gap on the Belgian Champion and with a last effort he reached the finish area solo. Albert was runner-up at 5s ahead of Vantornout, Pauwels, Stybar and Meeusen. The fourth place for Pauwels was just not enough to keep his World Cup leader's jersey, which is now in Nys' possession.

It started snowing just before the Women's race but that didn't bother Marianne Vos. The 24 year-old World Champion sped away at the halfway mark of the first lap. The battle for the win was soon over for US Champion Katherine Compton (Rabobank-Giant Off-Road Team), who dropped her chain right after the start. Only Lucie Chainel-Lefevre (FRA) was able to keep in touch with the World Champion on the technical course in Namur during the first half of the race. However, just before the end of the second lap Vos opened up a gap of more than 20s.

Vos made few mistakes on the slippery slopes of the citadel and steamed through to a more than convincing second win in the World Cup. Chainel struggled towards the end but she was able to hold on for second place ahead of a well-returned Compton. Despite finishing only 8th, Van den Brand remains leader in the World Cup ahead of Compton.

The next round of the Patrick UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup will be held in Heusden-Zolder (BEL) where all four categories will race on the former F1 car circuit.

It's back to Louisville, Kentucky for the eleventh episode of Behind THE Barriers' Season Two! Fresh off his win on the first day, it's back to Eva Bandman Park in Louisville where everyone is hoping for a repeat of Saturday's duel with Ryan Trebon. Unfortunately, Trebon suffers a pre-race crash that effectively elimates him from the race. Ryan shows true grit by racing anyway, despite a inflamed and painful left knee. Before Jeremy's race, it's off to the venue to meet fans, greet the media and sign a whole bunch of autographs, but sadly for Jeremy, he didn't get there in the Porsche he trailers behind his double tour bus. After working hard before the race, Jeremy is made to work hard during the race by reigning national champion Todd Wells, who pushes Jeremy all the way to the finish line, literally. After the race, Jeremy has to make a quick exit so he can make a flight to San Francisco, but not before introducing the world to GBoom, and though you may heckle her, don't forget that she's pretty nasty on the bike!

Jeremy returns to the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross' third weekend - the Derby City Cup - in episode 10 of Behind THE Barriers! After tracking down his phone - which we learn has a tendency to run away from time to time - it's off to the venue to meet up and shoot the breeze with some of Jeremy's friends and competition. Before long, it's race time, and Jeremy finds himself locked in battle with Ryan Trebon, the current USGP overall leader and one of the most in-form riders on the American cyclocross scene. After a great final lap duel, Jeremy takes the win with a sprint finish! Following the race, Jeremy makes the interview rounds, and Behind THE Barriers captures the infamous "lost interview" with Cyclingdirt! Finally, after an unnerving cab ride courtesy of Freddy Kreuger, it's off to dinner and the hotel, where Jeremy and the Rapha-Focus crew definitely do no set off the building's fire alarm!
