Werd up, Colt. I'm sure all of us are grateful for the extensive US cx and mtb racing coverage (highlights, interviews, etc). I've spent countless hrs catching up on the races and there's no other place that does this. Also, props on the new camera equipment. HD video looks great! Keep up the good work!

Also, Colt, why no live coverage of some of these big races? Are USGP and NEPCX playing hardball and asking for licensing fees for live broadcasting? That just doesn't make sense... It's a symbiotic relationship. It's win-win for both parties. What's going on here?
Peter,

No hardball. A few egos, but overall everyone wants to make it work. There's a lot more to Live coverage than meets the eye. These things get done 10-6 months in advance, take a big team of people, a lot of time, and cost real money. We are covering Providence Live this weekend (part of NEPCX). Gloucester said no.
USGP wasn't even going to happen until two weeks out. They got money to save the series at the last minute. They barley had time to get registration up, let alone plan a series of Live broadcasts. It's a big step backwards for them to lose the Live coverage but not as big a loss as if the series had not happened at all.
We're ready to bring you Live coverage every weekend, but the sport is not there yet. The majority of the promoters out there have real lives and real jobs and do this for charity or the love of the sport. A small few have the resources and desire to do a Live broadcast from their event.
We're bringing you 6 new races live this season with ACC (http://www.cyclingdirt.org/article/14427-Watch-Cyclocross-LIVE-All-Season-On-CyclingDirtcom) plus Nationals. If the USGP had come through, that would have been 11 Live weekends in the US this season. It was only 2010 that CyclingDirt did the first ever Live broadcast from any 'cross race in North America. Give it time, keep the pressure on, and keep telling the sport that you want to watch it Live! We're almost there.

I think TJ is tired of being on the podium but not quite getting it done and making it to the top step. He seemed a bit upset.
