"THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE! DON'T YOU KNOW ANYTHING?"
Approximate Formula: (#This Week. Name (Team) #Last Week)
25% What you've done so far this season
50% What you did this past weekend
20% What we think you'll do in next two weeks
5% Feeling pressure from lobbyists in comment section
(sometimes we miss something, let us know below!)
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?"
-no.
Considering the fact that Wes Schempf has been cleaning up in the Mid Atlantic region (both MAC and MABRA races) as well as winning the MABRA title, and taking second in the MAC, I believe he should be at least inside the top 50. He is in top form for nationals and will be throwing down both in the Elite field and the Masters 35+.
The Euros added a great deal to the competitiveness of racing in the USA this season. Many of them won races here and showed why are ranked highly in the world. It was the first time that no American made the podium at Cross Vegas. It was really fun to watch these men and women. Sorry to see them go.How is Amanda Carey not the JOW, having moved up an astounding 7 positions to crack the top ten?I feel badly for both Krasniak and Jones for taking some rude "tattoo" comments in Bend. It certainly tainted her impression of USA cyclocross. Can't blame her is she stays home next year.It is a shame that Danny Summerhill is not competing at nationals. He is one of the very few Americans we will probably be watching in the TDF in years to come. Most shocking performances of the weekend: Teal Stetson-Lee. She has made a leap that we rarely see. She earned that #4 ranking fair and square. With four of the top ten men on your list being foreigners, I wonder if this could be the year that Troy Wells competes for a podium position at nationals? He has improved a great deal (and always makes for killer photos).Has anyone noticed that all of our top women are in their mid-thirties? In a just a few years we are going to be seeing the Coryn, Kaitlin, Amy, Teal show every weekend.
