Who Fell Off This Week?
23. Emily Batty (Subaru/ Trek) (CAN) 21 (Lack of Racing)
Well done, Colt, another great week of Who's #1.Personally, I'd put Lindine about 9 or 10 on this list, but it will work its way out as the season progresses. Also, I don't think Compton will be at the race in Tabor this weekend. I think I read she was skipping it and I don't see her on the start list...but I could be wrong there.
Pretty ridiculous to say Colt has a bias to anything west of the Mississippi since he has lived and raced in New England his whole life, and has only lived in Austin for a little over a month!! Falling off my chair laughing. After looking at the start list for New Gloucester, it appears that the competition is a bit thin. Lindine could again win both days but still not compete with anyone ranked ahead of him. However, since it is the only UCI race this weekend, shouldn't the higher ranked non-world-cup riders be making the trip to Maine?
Barry has spent the past couple years transitioning to become a successful mountain bike stage racer in events like Trans Rockies and B.C. Bike Race. These endurance events are quite different training than the World Cups and Pro-XCT races he was specializing in a few years back....namely lower top end speed. Plus Barry moved to Chicago where everyone knows there is no place to actually ride your bike.
That shirt is from a Wisconsin team named MWI (originally My Wife, Inc.) and they rock! The Jack-a-lope was designed by the team leader's young daughter when they formed the team and made the logo of the team! Some members even have it as a tattoo! :) Hit them up on FB @ http://www.facebook.com/#!/mwicross I'm sure they would sell you a shirt! :)
