If you watch the video replay of the men's race, evert lap, Fumic would banzai the drop and then just bounce off of the padded barriers.

I agree with JeroenK, if you are not sure you can manage a steep descend or technical passage. It is better to abandon and gain selfconfidence bij graduaully increase the level of difficulty...

@Lisanne: after the nationals we will put some effort in your technical skills

That girl with the pink helmet is Lisanne, she is a member of my MTB club. She's 16!

It is a good thing she decides to go for safe, despite all of her friends pushing her ;-). It is the only part of the course she did not ride. Riding all of the rest is pretty good for her age.
