Here is a taste of the 2009 Alabama ProXCT course singletrack; about the first quarter lap. Day before race filming with my V.I.O. helmet cam. I catch up with teammate Lea Davison, then run into the Kona boys and Treboohoo who ran into a branch only he could hit. twitter.com/GeoffKabush
[Make sure to watch this one all the way. Some good stuff at the end!]

Kenny, this is a great place to ride. They actually kinda "ruined" the race in a lot of people's eyes because they changed the course from what it traditionally is( a 2 lap 34 mile course) because they thought it would be better for this particular race. I can see that, because it is better for tech zone and feed situations for pro. However, this is a good place to ride. I know how not that good you have it in Wisconsin from experience. You should try coming down here in the area, and maybe particularly Oak Mountain to ride and make your judgment instead of listening to Geoff's breathing and watching a helmet cam and making judgments.Agreed. Oak Mountain State Park (where the race was held) is some of the most fun single track I've ridden. The South East gets a bad rap for some reason but they have some amazing riding down in the TN/AL/GA/NC/VA/WV area... |
