After a career best year in 2008, Todd has struggled to find the same consistency thus far in 2009. While the legs seem to be there, the luck just hasn't been on his side. Without an untimely illness at Houffalize and a couple mechanicals at the first few US Cups, Wells might very well be sitting 1st in the rankings right now. Lucky, the biggest races of the season are still to come. USA Nationals, World Cup Finals, US Cup Finals, and/or the World Championships could all be a chance for Todd to finally show his best.
