Ricky Castro races his first run for category 3 qualifying. His race ends with a tie. The announcer says this happens once in thousands of races. Timed at 54.01 secs, Ricky 8 years old, Chase 10 years old. Ricky came back 2nd run with a 52.67, Chase with a 54.30. Ricky qualified 2nd. Finals are Sunday. This is Ricky\'s first dual slalom race ever.
