Mount Saint Anne World Cup
What a day! Great races for both Men and Women.
Catherine Pendrel took her second WC win and by a huge margin. Looks like that Canada Champs win was no fluke. (Marie Helen was 10th today...) After Catherine, North American women cleaned up the top 20. Katerina Nash (ok, not technically from North America) Had a career day to finish 3rd. Willow Koerber was top from USA in 5th. Gould was 7th. Lea Davison 13th. Finally some technical/muddy trails for Lea to show that VT bike handling. Emily Batty had an ok day to end up 15th and second U23. A solid result but she's got a top 8 in her legs on a better day. Marry M was 18th and and new US Champ Irmiger was 21st. Heather had a pretty unhappy look as she rode off after crossing the line. Not sure what went wrong, but look for her in the top 10 next weekend.
For the men, It was a Euro show at the front end. Absolon 1st, Hermida 2nd. Geoff Kabush is back where he should be in 3rd. Burry Stander 5th and Wells fell from a possible podium to 15th. Adam Craig was top from USA in 12th.
Lots of killer photos, interviews, and race footage coming soon! Have to make the long drive back to the US of A tonight, so look for everything early tomorrow!
Hopefully we don't spend another couple hours at the border this time...
