This weekend athletes and spectators will descend on Goddard Park for the NEPCX series finale.  The park's forested landscape and sandy beach offers on of the most unique race venues in the country.  With both courses having a combination of winding forest, paved parking lot, a beach run and open field there will be plenty of race excitement to see from the pedestrian walk along the course.  Athletes will have a chance to race in conditions that very few courses can offer and get a final tune-up before heading into Nationals.  As well as snatching up more UCI points before Worlds.

With wins at Gloucester Day 1, Providence Day 1, and doubling up in Norhampton, National Champion, Jeremy Powers (Rapha-Focus) was able gain an unbeatable lead and lock with the Elite Men's series.  Taking the chance for warmer weather Ryan Trebon and Ben Berden will be racing in LA, leaving the remaining steps on the podium up for grabs.  Fresh off his first UCI win at Bay State, Jeremy Durrin (JAM Fund) will be fighting for points against the likes of Shawn Milne (Cyclocrossworld.com) and Justin Lindine (Redline).  Milne showing his tenaciousness at Bay State by besting Durrin on Day 2, could prove to be a threat to Durrin's hopes.

The overall series podium in the Women's Elite wide open coming into this weekend.  Veteran Mary Mcconneloug (Kenda-Seven-No Tubes) and the powerful new comer Crystal Anthony (Cyclocrossworld.com) should put on a show for the crowd.  The course requires a blend of smooth technique and lactic-acid producing power that could favor either rider.  Expect to see Mo Bruno-Roy (Bob's Red Mill) in the mix over the weekend.
