This Saturday Los Angeles Historic Park with host the finale of the Cross After Dark Series. Top riders will be competing under the lights, just North of Downtown LA, and be competing for $5,000 series prizes in addition to C2 prize list offered by the race.
Mirroring last season's series is the battle between Ryan Trebon and Ben Berden for the series win. Last year Trebon was able to out kick Berden to take the race and series win. Coming into this weekend Berden holds a slim 12 point lead over Trebon, 85 - 73. Berden lost significant points to Trebon (55) at Cinci when he misplaced his rear wheel and had to DNF.
Locking up the series with wins at Gateway and Cinci, Katie Compton (Trek) will not be showing up. Sitting in second is Sanne Van Paassen (Rabobank) after grabbing 1st at Cross Vegas. Van Passe will not be racing LA. Other then 1st, all other placings are up for grabs. Expect a close race to fill the other spots on the podium as well as Nicole Duke's return with a new sponsor.

And quit possibly even more exciting on Sunday will be The Single Speed Cyclocross World Championships! The SSCXWC has moved to LA this year and qualifying starts Saturday morning at the park. Running a slightly different course then Saturday's Cross After Dark the SSCXWC will hot a bevy of costume cladded racers.
