Position: All of the things.
CyclingDirt is looking for a new Site Head to add to its team. We need a super passionate Cyclocross/ Mountain Bike junkie with a Masters degree in Bike Racing and two wheel culture.
Calling all bloggers, vloggers, and wannabe pros. The position would be ideal for someone with a video/ web/ social media background, but the only requirement is that you love these sports like they are your own children. [ed- Colt picked up his first camera 12 hours before the first CyclingDirt coverage]. This is not just an 'employment opportunity', this is the opportunity to make your work and your passion one and the same.
We like people who can work well in a highly collaborative team environment and who can shine in that environment. You should be high-energy and not afraid to point a camera at a stranger and start asking questions. We are looking for someone who will make a fast impact in the company. Someone equally motivated to grow the sport they love and the business alike. CyclingDirt and Flocasts value people who don't mind going against the grain, doing something different, and who want to be part of a company that does the same.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Site Editor/ Daily site management
-Create/ Organize original content (video, photo, text)
-Event Coverage (video highlights, interviews, etc. Involves travel.)
-Tech/ Gear Coverage (Product reviews, Pro Bike features, etc.)
-On Camera Personality/ Commentary (Host web shows, Live event commentary)
-Collaborate with creative, design, product and technical team
-Business Development (Grow the sport, grow the business!)
REQUIREMENTS:
-Belief that Cyclocross & Mountain Biking are the best sports on Earth
-Familiar with North American racing scene
-Web/ tech savvy
-Desire to travel
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
-Video production/ editing
-Writing experience
-Photography
-Social Media
-Photoshop
-Blogging/ Vlogging
-Racing background (Cyclocross/ MTB)
-Bike shop/ mechanic experience
-Well-traveled
The position is full-time and is located in Austin, Texas.
